Unfortunately we had to… we were hit with a griefing team of 15 plus people and found it necessary to whitelist the server. but have no fear you were added to the list.

Although waiting for the bukkit update is understandable, I’m not so sure that going vanilla until then is the best move. Some players such as itzaero paid money for benefits, and when they find out that they’re denied those benefits, no matter how temporary, they won’t be so understanding of the situation. I just remember when the essentials plugin broke, resulting in most of the players losing their cool and threatening to quit the server. Considering how small the community is already, it would be a shame to see it become any smaller than it is. Just FYI.
Oh, and a couple houses across from mine that had lava in them burned down due to no protection from fire spreading.
Thank you for sending your comments DJ. Your right going to vanilla was a bad idea. I actually did a backup of the whole world before switching over and I will restore the server to the world before I switched over. I hope that no one looses there cool and quits the server but unfortunately when bukkit updates to a stable version is beyond my control. I have been viewing the logs and have determined that everyone has already updated to the latest version. As a result, rather than going to vanilla… I will temporarily close the server, and immediately reopen it when a Recommended Build has been released. Unless anyone has alternative suggestions to this problem.
Glad that the situation was taken care of. Until then I think your idea of playing other games is good, such as TF2.
Its a shame there are no new players joining the server this community will just keep getting smaller if we dont advertise or do anything about it

sorry ballin, the server is on lockdown/ closed until Bukkit Releases a recommended build for the server to run correctly. I will reopen the server immediately when I hear word from Bukkit. There is a beta version but its not stable. Unless anyone has other suggestions.

I do want to THANK EVERYONE for being so understanding during these extreme circumstances, in having to temporarily close the server. If anyone is interested I can put an adventure map up until we get the new bukkit up.

Regarding the recent post about what larger servers are doing, I think it would be a good idea if the spawn area were retooled to have new members read the rules and basic commands before they went out into the server. One server I visited had the new members (Guests) read the rules, and at the end of the rules was a phrase they had to type so that an admin would read it and grant them building rights. If we use this along with the new protection plugin you installed then we could probably do away with whitelisting so we can get more potential traffic.

I’m pretty sure it was the same server that I visited… We need more organization. but before that, we need optimization. Mods, admins and co-owners will do this project together to create an organized way of doing that, after I figure out our performance issues. Thanks again DJ

Looking forward to the server re-launch, and to help build the new areas. Got a plan in mind for a schematic that will combine the spawn tower and XP grinder into something that's smaller and more efficient.

Soo…. guess what guys i've been grounded for a while and i havent been able to get on the server which sucks like…. well you know. But anyways the point is that im getting a new computer that has better gaming software in it like for example an I 9 processer when they come out with it( which they are) and more gaming memory and so on so forth…. but the biggest thing is that im getting a recorder to record us playing. If you have details about anything just ask me, ill be happy to answer you

I received a message stating that you demoted Joefis. I will see if that’s the reason why you were demoted. Looks like I will be adding a chat logger to identify whats going on in situations like this. I will get back with you soon about it.
